My Dream, My Future

I woke up early, trying to make every work faster and after that I took a shower and Brought out my white uniform and went to my work. As I enter the door, I saw a lot of sick people trying to please the doctors to cure their diseases and illnesses.
Well, that would be me in the future, I will not be a doctor but a nurse who will help and assist the sick people. Wearing a white uniform like that is my dream in life. Since I was Still a child , i already wanted to become a successful nurse for some reasons. Honestly, I want it because I know that I could earn more money in this job than others. I want to uplift the quality of my life. I want to help my parents. I want to be financially stable so that no one will insult me again. I know I can fulfill this dreams and wants through this job. I know it will not be easy for me to achieve my dreams but with determination and perseverance, I know I can do it.
That would be me in the future. I know there will be barriers but with my strength and faith, I will break them.

" Change: It Starts With Me"

Change is permanent here in this world. Anything and anyone change in different aspects. Therefore, no one can hide from this natural occurrence.
But what's happening in our country? It seems that change is not happening on us and the question is why? That's because of the wrong knowledge of people that they are waiting somebody to do the job. Change must not start with others but change must start on us. I mean, every individual must bear in mind that if we want a better life we must change our wrong doing. I do really believe that change starts with me. I know that a little bit change in me would be a big contribution in achieving our goals. There's no more thing that I can do to help but to change the bad me. Can you imagine it? If everyone would think like me, I'm sure that a quality life that we're dreaming for will come true.
The change starts with me and with this for sure the change we wanted before will not be a dream anymore.

Kannawidan 2011

As the months of February comes, I can see excitements from the face of the people for it's the start of the Kannawidan Festival of the province of Ilocos Sur. All can't wait to see and taste the products of every town of Ilocos Sur which is really the highlight of this festival.
This Year's Kannawidan Festival was also fantastic like the past years. Honestly, I enjoy the festival this year because more activities or shows was organized. Every night, everyone were very excited to see the famous artists of today's generation. Everyone shouts out loud for they are enjoying and everyone sacrifices their time just to watch the every night show that the provincial government had organized. The mainly purpose of the festival was I think to make all the towns of the Ilocos sur united and I think the goal was really working.
I hope that next year, there will be more surprises and more shows so that all will enjoy more, and so that everyone will really feel the spirit of the festival.

My 01-25-'11

January is a very exciting month for it is the Vigan fiesta. Everyone loves it and everyone is enjoying because it was celebrated spectacularly.

I celebrated the Vigan Fiesta through participating the parade last January 25. I am very happy because people at every street side always say positive feed backs on us. Well, that's the price of our training every Saturday. I am very tired on that day. I want to sleep after the parade but we still need to go back at the school. Mr. Rabaca congratulated us for our outstanding performance during the parade. After our meeting, I went home to rest and that's how my day ended.

That is how I celebrated the Vigan Fiesta. A day that I celebrated simply and ended quickly.

Before the Final Round

It's now January and I can really feel that time is going faster and faster because two weeks from now, it will be again our periodical test for the third quarter.
This grading period, our teacher introduced to us the Microsoft front page. This new application is for the editing of websites. it is my first time to make my own website and it is about our project before which is the Business and Industries of Vigan. at first, it's hard for me to use that application but as I go on I was used to it. because of this activity, I realized that making a website is really hard because you need to be creative so that the website that you are making will look good and so that other people will be attracted to it. Meanwhile, we also finished our other "exer" activities. From this third chapter of my fourth year life, I learn that we need to make our activities properly and as good as well. We need to be creative and lastly we need to learn more for the betterment of our own life.
Moving on, I promised to be more thirsty of knowledge. Well, that's it . . . . .!

New Year, New Beginning

Every time new year comes, I always plan things to do in the whole year round. I make sure to it that I will spend the year wisely so that no time will be wasted.
It's now 2011 and it's a new beginning for me. a new year for change and a new year for the better. This year, I want to do the best that I can do because I want to prove to myself that I can also be good like others. It's hard for me to move on because 2010 for me was a year of full of challenges but I think this year will be the year for me to face the challenges of the world because this 2011, Kevin will be braver and he will be a new one. Kevin will be better than before and ultimately, Kevin will change not only emotionally but also physically. Well, I hope this will come true this year.
Yes, I'm ready for 2011.

The True Essence of Christmas

Christmas is the time when everybody decorates their houses with different Christmas decors. This is the time when everybody give their gifts to their love ones or relatives. And also, this is the time when everybody forgive and forgets the bad things happened in the whole year round.
We all know that we are celebrating this yearly but the question is, "What is the true essence of Christmas?"
Well for me, the true essence of Christmas is forgiveness because I do really believe that we should forgive those people who had done something wrong to us because they are just human and they commit mistakes like us which is really normal to happen to all of us. We should always remember that our new year will be more wonderful if we are going to forgive and forget those problems that we encountered. And one more thing, we should not wait Christmas just to forgive someone. Just remember that Everyday is Christmas, so forgiveness should be everyday.
Well, that is all my ideas about the true essence of Christmas.

Everyone dreams to have a peaceful and progressive society but this dream doesn't became true yet because of weak relationship of the Filipino people.
I think the only solution for this problem is that to strengthen our relationship. We must be as one to be able to reach our goals easily. We need to preserve the good values that we have so that we could be able to build a better society wherein everyone lives in perfection. And of course we must always remember that the future is in our hands so we must not waste our time to do the things that we can do for the betterment of our society. And lastly, we need to ask the guidance of our Almighty God so that He will help us in uplifting our society to the peak of progress.

Sem-Break

After the second periodical test, everyone was very happy for it's now the start of the semester break. Everyone has already plans for them to spend the semester break very fun and enjoyable while others were still thinking what to do for them to have a nice week.
Well, my semester break is not that fun because I'm just staying at our house and just watching my favorite shows, but I am still happy because I spend my days with my family. Everyday, all of us make sure to it that everything is OK so that there will be no barrier for us. i enjoy chatting with my two sisters. We always talk about the events happening in our school and sometimes we shared our secrets. At night, we sleep at our terrace and together, we watch the stars shinning so bright. All of us went also to the cemetery to clean and visit the tomb of our love ones.But unluckily, I wasn't able to to visit them again last November 1 because my father doesn't want to brought us to the cemetery anymore.
This is how I spend my vacation. I spend it simply but still I learned something.

Breaking Barriers Through English

Our country is very thirsty in progress and we cannot deny the fact that it is hard for us to move forward and that's because of the BARRIERS.
"Barriers" is one of the factors that affect the development and improvement of a country. Barriers act as a hindrance for us to be success and the question is how can we break the barriers? It might be hard for us to think an answer for this question but I think there could only be one simple answer for this and that is ENGLISH. Yes, through English we could be able to break the barriers. English as our International Language has an important role in our life. Through English Language, we'll be able to communicate well wither countries. We may be able to tell them what is happening on us or maybe we can ask them to help us to address our major problems here in our country. Through English, we may also give our ideas, thoughts and feelings to others. We may be able to create a better world or maybe we will be able to improve the quality of our life and that's with the help of English Language. Likewise, English Language will bring peace and unity to the world and I think that would be the important role of our International Language.
From these, I can say that E$English proficiency must be our first priority because I believe that if we are proficient enough we will be able to tell exactly or accurately the ideas we want to tell to other countries and I think schools must be challenge to effectively teach English Language so that the youth or the future generation ( who are believe to help the world in breaking the barriers or in addressing the global challenges) will be able to break the barriers that affects our world in uplifting itself to the peak of progress.
Let us then work hand and hand to promote English Language as our medium of communication. Just remember my friend that the future depend on us and through the help of English, the peace and unity that the world needs will be given.

Filipinnovation, the way forward

"I CAN. It is a powerful sentence. I CAN. It is amazing how many people can do that thing realistically. . . . ", it is just a few lines quoted from the Inspirational Gem of Og Mandino.
Changes is permanent here in this world and everything changes as years passed by. We all know that in our past years of existence, a different discoveries were presented making our daily living better than before. But as our life continues, we always look for something new that would improve or will help us to uplift the quality of our life. But how could we look for something new if we are just waiting somebody to do it ? The point is, we need to move as one. We need to start the innovation that we want. Well, as a student and as a part of the youth, I CAN do something that will explode to change. Every single part of that would contribute to the innovation we want. I can promote our culture through patronizing it, because I do really believe that we must support first our culture so that others would be encourage to support it also. We are rich in culture here in our country and the only thing we need to do is to really to support it and make something new in it.I can also improve our culture through conducting research studies that will help me in finding new things through the help of Science and Technology. And these new findings would be a great help n improving and innovating our products and services for better quality of life. But we must also remember that we'll not be able to reach our goals, which is innovation, if we are not going to unite. The purpose of unity is that it would enable us to make our goals possible and would make it easier for us to reach our goals.

My Teacher, My Hero

Ultimately a hero is someone who does good things. He/she is someone who is always there when you need help and someone that you treat as your inspiration in life.
Does everybody has a hero? Well, my answer would be yes because I do really believe that everybody has a hero. My hero is someone who always serve as my inspiration and someone who always believe in me. She is actually our adviser when I'm in third year. Well, I think you know him already and she is no other than Mrs. Myrna S. Cacal. Yes, she's a teacher me a very unforgettable line which is , "You can do more and I believe in your abilities." This line seems to be dramatic for me because honestly speaking I'm a shy type of person and that line gave me strength to reach my goals in life. I can still remember when she talk to me and everything she says was like giving me an energy or positive aura. Now that I'm in fourth year, still I cannot forget her. I will remember her always for she is the one who helps me in gaining self-confidence.
Yes, she is my hero. . . . . . A teacher whose worth is really known. she's a teacher that I considered before, now a hero that I love more.

Reflections

Education is very important because this is the key for better future. Some says it is the solution to eliminate poverty and other says it is the only thing our parents can give us.
As I entered my fourth year life I learned different things which makes me a better person. A lot things were taught to us especially in our Computer Education subject.I learned about the origin of internet and everything about it.I also learned about blogs and we also make our own blogger account that's why on that moment, I was able to make my own. I also gain knowledge about changing blog templates and posting different articles that I made.One of the problem I encountered is when I cannot find a good blog-skin for my blogger and when the computer was not working well when I was typing my post.Luckily I was able to overcome those problems through asking my teacher and my classmates what to do. The computer education is very interesting because it gives me more information about the modern technologies.
Moving on, I will do my best to do well in this subject. I will be serious on this class and I will focused more so that I will be able to understand the future lessons.

The National Language
More than a hundred years ago, we are colonized by different countries who brought different languages dominating our country before. Because of this, some words are adopted which are now acceptable in our language.
Language is one of our identity. We can easily identify through our language. We all know all know that we have a lot of languages here in the Philippines and if we combine them all, Filipino Language will be the result. Our national Language is very important because through this we will be able to understand each other and will be able to communicate well. Preserving our language should or must be our first responsibility. We should love our language because this historical and our forefathers fight for this, so we must not forget this language which symbolizes our identity. We must be nationalist because we will be a globally competitive if there is unity among us or we are as one. And the unity can be shown through loving the national language which serve as our stepping stone to progress.

The Environment
Our environment serve as our habitat and this became as one of our pride here in the Philippines. Different countries tried to invade our country before because we are rich in different natural resources.
But here comes the scenario now. Our environment was turning like a "hell" and that's because our environment now was destroyed and the question is, "Who is to be blame?". because of malpractice and our bad habits our environment is affected and because of this, little by little, our environment is destroyed. Preserving and caring our environment must also be our responsibility. We must know how to protect and how to take good care of it so that the beauty and calmness of our environment will be preserve. As a Filipino citizen and as a part of the youth, we have the power to change our future through starting the changes on ourselves. We must move now and work hand in hand to bring back the beauty of our environment given by our Almighty God.

National Language and environment, As One
The national language and Environment has one rule in our country and that is to promote our nation as a globally competitive country among others.
The idea of of combining these two may be beneficial in uplifting our country to progress. Knowing that our Status Que here in our country is getting to worse, we must now move and unite to lessen or if possible eliminate our major problems through caring and loving our National Language and Environment. We must also remember that it is our duty and responsibility to make sure of it that we are moving forward for our future.

Right and Enough Food For a Healthy Body

Health is very important for an individual. without health a person or an individual is incomplete.
It is very important for us to know if the food we are taking in is nutritious and it is important for us to ensure that our food is good for our health. We cannot deny the fact that sometimes we actually forget to choose food that has good nutritional value because sometimes we prefer eating junk foods.
One of our problem now is the increasing rate of obese people and research studies says that most of the obese people are not eating the right and enough food chitchat's why they are suffering from obesity. They also said that obese people are those whose health is at risk. This findings have alarmed not only the Department of Health but also the World Health Organization (WHO).This information is good to all of us knowing that our country is one of those who have high rating of this health problem.
It is very important to be very aware to our health. We should know those foods that are nutritious and may give our body enough nutrients. We must ensure that the food we are eating is right.If we have doubts, we may ask some pieces of advise to our nutritionist or we may also use the food pyramid as a guide.
Nutrition is very essential to all of us. Eating right food and having a balance diet is such a good habit.We must always remember that, "Pagkaing tama at sapat, wastong timbang ni baby katapat"

Letter to the President

Dear Mr. President,
I wrote you a letter to congratulate you for being elected as the President of the Philippines, and to please you to do your responsibility as a father of our native land. I know that your going to face the major problems left by the previous administration which was never solved. I know it will be hard for you to find solutions to some of our problems, but as a Filipino citizen and as a part of the youth, I promise to help and support you. Please do you've promised to all of u and don't let us to regret in choosing as our President who will uplift our country.I know it will be hard for you to that but as they say, if all of us will unite,it will be easier for us to reach our goal. But Mr. president, I want to remind you that if you want that your fellowmen will follow you, start the change. I mean, minimize using cigarette or if you can do avoid cigarette so that other people who were used to it will avoid it too, because as they say, a good leader is a good follower. Well' still I want you to be our President who will lead our country and who will start the change that we want ten years ago. I'm proud to be "pinoy" and as a respond to what you always say, "Tuloy ang Laban", i answer you,"Kasama mo ako sa laban"
